Dr Jeyakar Vedamanickam as the Director and a faculty is backed by a rich and varied experience. He has held several senior positions in Industry, a partial list of which is given below:
- General Manager for a factory manufacturing large critical structures for Satellite Launch Vehicles and Satellites;
- CEO of a Public Ltd. Company Indo – Russian Aviation Ltd., (a company trading in Aircraft parts, jointly held by Indian and Russian shareholders);
- General Manager (Export Marketing) of a USD 2.5 Billion Aircraft Manufacturing Company (Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.);
- Head of Production Planning and Control for the Manufacture of Helicopters.
- He has also been a management trainer for 15 years during mid-career.
- He has been admitted as a life member of Mensa.
Dr. Jeyakar Vedamanickam’s ‘Creativity and Innovation’ workshops are extremely popular. (He has conducted over 150 of these workshops to a variety of participants such as Scientists of Indian Space Research Organisation; Engineers of organisations such as ABB, Titan watches, ETA-Ascon, IAF and several Defence Public Sector Organisations; and University, College and School Principals and Faculty.
As a faculty he is equally comfortable with the soft courses such as Organisational Behaviour and General Management as he is with the quantitative subjects such as Production and Operations Management; and Decision Theory.
He has travelled widely to several countries such as Chile, Ecuador, Guyana, Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago, Mauritius, Myanmar, Japan, Indonesia, Uk, and France.
A multi-faceted person who enjoys endurance sport. He has done a three hour non-stop swim and participates in 10 Km run. He enjoys playing bridge and has participated in State Level bridge competitions. He plays the guitar and sings.
