Mr. Sanjeev Chinnamanthur is an accomplished marketing professional and academic with over two decades of experience across Sales, Marketing, Brand Management, Business Development, and Corporate Strategy in both domestic and international markets. Prior to joining Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship (XIME), Bengaluru, he served as Head of the Department and Corporate Relations Head at Dayananda Sagar Business Academy (DSBA), where he contributed significantly to academic leadership and industry engagement.
His corporate career spans leadership roles across FMCG, Telecom, Retail, and Consulting sectors with reputed organizations including Cadbury India (now Mondelez International), Bharti Airtel, Essar Group, Reliance Communications, Tata Teleservices, and Afghan Wireless Communications Ltd. Throughout his career, he has focused on understanding consumer behaviour, developing brand communication strategies, driving business growth, and building high-performing sales and marketing organizations.
As Marketing Director at Afghan Wireless Communications Ltd., he played a key role in the turnaround of the mobile voice business and achieved double-digit year-on-year growth in the data business through focused brand communication, distribution, and market development initiatives. He also served as Marketing Head for Kerala Circle at Tata Teleservices and held several strategic marketing leadership positions at Reliance Communications, including Product Head for North India and National Head – Segmentation Marketing (CLCM), where he was responsible for customer retention strategies, customer lifetime value enhancement, and brand communication initiatives.
Mr. Sanjeev has also worked extensively with the Essar Group in domestic and international markets, including assignments across 17 African countries. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly five years with Bharti Airtel in various roles, including Zonal Marketing Manager, Acquisitions Head, and Rural Marketing Head. His FMCG experience includes sales and distribution roles with Cadbury India and Parle.
At XIME, he brings a practitioner-oriented approach to management education, combining extensive industry experience with academic engagement to provide students with practical insights into contemporary marketing and business challenges.
