Austin Scaria brings over three decades of distinguished leadership experience spanning market research, consumer insights, analytics, technology-enabled business solutions, and strategic management. His career uniquely combines 16 years in global market research and consumer insights with 15 years of leadership in analytics and AI-driven business solutions at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
At XIME, he serves as Associate Professor of Practice and Group Head – Development and Growth, where he teaches and mentors students in Market Research, Consumer Insights, and Analytics while contributing to institutional development initiatives across the XIME ecosystem.
Prior to joining academia, Austin held senior leadership positions at TCS, leading large-scale analytics and insights practices for Fortune 500 clients. He managed portfolios exceeding USD 60 million, led teams of over 300 analysts, data scientists, and engineers across geographies, and successfully drove significant business growth and transformation initiatives.
His earlier career includes leadership roles with renowned global market research organizations such as Kantar, Research International, and Consumer Insight Africa, where he worked extensively across India, Malaysia, and Africa, delivering strategic insights across industries including FMCG, Retail, Automotive, Telecom, Finance, and Life Sciences.
In addition to his academic role, Austin serves as an Independent Director, contributing expertise in governance, strategy, market intelligence, and business growth. He is also a mentor and coach, helping organizations translate data and consumer understanding into effective strategic decisions.
