One Day Awareness Workshop on Preparedness for Accreditation Process and Challenges was conducted at the XIME Bangalore Campus

A one-day Awareness Workshop on “Preparedness for Accreditation: Process and Challenges” was conducted on 11th Oct 2019, at the XIME Bangalore campus under the aegis of The Karnataka Association of Autonomous Business Schools (KAABS) and XIME Bangalore and co-sponsored by IIPM.
Dr. V.G Dhanakumar, Director, IIPM Bangalore and the President of KAABS welcomed the gathering.
Prof. J Philip, Chairman, XIME Bangalore & Former Director, IIMB inaugurated the workshop and in his address highlighted the significance of Accreditation and XIME’s contribution to the accreditation movement during its formative stages, by holding the first ever Accreditation Conference in India, 26 years ago on behalf of AICTE.
Other resource persons included Dr. Devi Singh, Former Director, IIM Lucknow and former V.C of Flame University, Mr. Nishit Jain, Senior Advisor, EFMD,  Ms. Amy Memon, Manager of Accreditation Services, AACSB, Dr. Atish Chattopadhya, Director, IFIM Bangalore and Dr. R Nandagopal, Director, XIME Kochi and Chair, South Asia Council of ACBSP.
A succinct presentation on NBA Accreditation process was made by Dr. Devi Singh. Mr. Nishit Jain narrated the procedures involved in different types of accreditations, viz EQUIS, EPAS, EDAF and BSIS granted by EFMD. Ms. Amy Memon, described the process involved in AACSB accreditation. These speakers outlined the advantages of an Institution would derive upon obtaining accreditation. Dr. Atish Chattopadhya, explained his association with AACSB accreditation in three different Institutions and the benefits accrued to them.          Dr. R. Nandagopal, gave a brief description of ACBSP accreditation process.
Other dignitaries present in the workshop were Dr. N. R. Parasuraman, Director, SDM Institute for Management Development, Mysore and Mr. Thothathri Raman, Chairman, SEAA Trust, New Delhi.
 The participants included senior faculty members from a number of B-schools in South India. The workshop was concluded by Prof. A Anantharaman, Provost, XIME Bangalore with the distribution of certificates to the participants.
