1. What is the "Innovation+" contest?
a. "Innovation+" is a competition organized by the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of XIME Bangalore. It encourages students to explore existing innovations implemented by organizations, dissect them, and propose additional innovations to enhance them.
b. For instance, they might choose to study the innovative logistics management system developed by a leading e-commerce company. After thoroughly dissecting this existing innovation, the teams would then propose additional innovations, perhaps suggesting improvements in last-mile delivery optimization or eco-friendly packaging solutions to enhance the original concept.
2. Who can participate in the contest?
a. The competition has been elevated to a South India-level competition, and it is now open to all technical and management undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) colleges in South India.
3. What is the main objective of the contestant and why the +?
a. The primary goal of the "Innovation+" contest is to immerse students in the world of innovation, challenge them to think creatively, and foster their entrepreneurial spirit.
b. The '+' factor! In addition to discovering and reporting, each team must propose an extra innovation that adds value to the stakeholders. This means you'll uncover successful innovation secrets and contribute your unique ideas.
4. How do I participate in the contest?
a. To participate, follow these steps:
i. Form a team of up to three members.
ii. Discover an existing innovation implemented by an organization.
iii. Create a detailed presentation (maximum 7 slides) and a supporting video (maximum 4 minutes) explaining your idea.
iv. Upload both the presentation and video to Google Drive and provide the link in the registration form.
5. Can I submit an innovation that I found online or in a publication?
a. Yes, you may take your inspiration from anywhere, but you must support all entries with primary data from source and are required to explore and analyze the innovation personally.
b. However, physical visits to the sites are not mandatory; online meetings with representatives, accompanied by appropriate proof, suffice.
6. What is the deadline for submission?
a. The deadline for submission is on or before 25th October 2023.
7. When will the top 10 finalists be announced, and what is the next step for them?
a. The top 10 finalists will be finalized by October 28. These finalists will be invited to the International Conclave for the final round of the competition on Nov 3, 2023
8. Is travel assistance provided for the finalists attending the International Conclave?
a. Yes, the institute will bear the travel expenses for the finalists, making it more accessible for participants to attend the event
9. Are there any prizes for the winners?
Yes, there are exciting cash prizes for the winners:
i. Winner : Rs. 50,000 /-
ii. Runners Up: Rs. 30,000 /-
iii. 2nd Runners Up: Rs. 20,000 /-
10. When will the prize distribution take place?
a. The prize distribution will occur on November 4, during the International Conclave.
11. How will the submissions be judged?
a. Submissions will be evaluated based on the quality of the presentation, the creativity of the proposed innovation, and its potential value to stakeholders.

13. Is there any specific theme or industry for the innovations?
a. The contest does not specify a particular theme or industry for the innovations. You are free to explore innovations in any field or industry that interests you.
14. Is there a limit to the number of teams that can participate from each campus ?
a. There is No limit to the number of participating teams from any campus
