Dr. Suparna Ray is an Associate Professor in Finance at Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship at Bangalore. Her previous stints were at XIM University, Bhubaneswar and Bennett University, NCR, respectively. She had more than a decade of corporate exposure with Company Secretaryship qualification. She holds an MBA in Finance & Investments from Baruch College, City University of New York, USA; a Master of Research in Finance from Lancaster University Management School, UK and a PhD in Finance from the University of Exeter Business School, UK.

Her research interests are in empirical corporate finance, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and gender diversity.
