Sarbani Mukherjee is an economist and academic professional with over 20 years of experience in higher education, encompassing teaching, interdisciplinary research, academic administration, consultancy, and academic leadership. She has served as Faculty of Economics at the Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), Bengaluru, where she taught economics and management-related courses, mentored students, and contributed to institution-building
Her academic work includes government and internationally funded research projects, scholarly publications, and policy-oriented research. She was a Fulbright Doctoral and Professional Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), Washington, D.C. Her professional experience with Bank of America and First National Bank of Omaha in the United States adds industry exposure in retail banking, financial advisory, customer relationship management, and regulatory compliance. Her interdisciplinary academic and industry experience enables her to bring practical economic and business perspectives to teaching, research, executive education, and industry engagement.
