Dr M Manjunath Shettigar is an academic with over 3 decades of experience in higher education. Before joining XIME, Bangalore, he worked at different institutions including CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, Acharya Institute of Management and Sciences, Bangalore, ICICI-Manipal Academy for Banking and Insurance, Bangalore, and School of Business Studies, Bangalore University, Bangalore.

His areas of interest include Business Strategy, Economics, Corporate Governance, Business Ethics, Corporate Sustainability & CSR, and Leadership Development.

Dr Shettigar holds MA in Economics (Mangalore University, Mangalore), MBA (Annamalai University, TN), MPhil in Future Studies (Gandhigram Rural Institute, TN) & PhD (Mangalore University, Mangalore). In addition, he holds a PG Diploma in Leadership from Emeritus Institute of Management, Singapore and a PG qualification in Applied Psychology from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

He has also completed multiple advanced professional certificate programmes such as Advanced Program in Strategy from IIM Lucknow, Strategic Business Communication Program from IIM Ahmedabad, Certificate Programme in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School (Online) and so on.

He was a university rank holder in PG, had been awarded UGC Research Fellowship (based on NET - JRF), was an ICSSR Research Fellow at Institute for Social & Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore, and was a Visiting Fellow at Center of Advanced Study, University of Bombay.

He has published research articles in the  areas of Public Finance, Entrepreneurship Development, Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Governance, and so on.
