Dr. Bhanu Pratap is an Assistant Professor with strong academic and industry expertise in operations management, supply chain analytics, circular economy, and complex systems modeling. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, with research focused on the market dynamics of lithium-ion batteries and sustainable end-of-life battery recovery strategies for electric mobility.
He has over two and a half years of academic experience, teaching courses in Operations Management and related subjects at the postgraduate and graduate levels, using an approach that blends simulation modeling and analytical methods with real-world challenges. This is complemented by over three years of prior industry experience in production management and site engineering roles spanning manufacturing and construction, bringing applied operational insight into the classroom.
Dr. Pratap has contributed actively to research, with peer-reviewed publications and presentations at venues including the Winter Simulation Conference, the OR Society Annual Conference, and the System Dynamics Conference, as well as advanced training in Supply Chain Analytics (NPTEL) and the System Dynamics Summer School. He has undertaken consultancy assignments in EV battery supply chain risk assessment and lithium-ion battery demand analysis. He has completed a Ramaiah University Seed Money-funded project that generated actionable insights into sustainable battery recycling.
He has also contributed to NAAC and NBA accreditation processes and coordinated institutional workshops.
