Dr. Sellamuthu Prabakaran is an accomplished academic and researcher with over 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in the fields of Finance, Data Science, and Engineering from Colombia, Saudi Arabia and India. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical Finance from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, with specialization in derivatives and the Black-Scholes Option Pricing Model. He also holds a Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering & Management from IIT Dhanbad and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Madras University, Chennai.

Dr. Prabakaran has held academic positions across reputed institutions in India, Colombia, and Saudi Arabia. He worked Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (Deemed University) as a Professor and also worked  as Associate Professor at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, Colombia and at Universidad del Norte, Barranquilla, Colombia. He served as the Founded Head and Assistant Professor of the Finance Department at King Saud University, Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia. Earlier in his career, he worked at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, New Delhi. India.

Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Prabakaran has consistently engaged in a balanced academic portfolio of teaching, research, and administration. His teaching interests include Corporate Finance, Derivatives, Risk Management, Financial Analytics, and FinTech. He has published more than 32 research papers in reputed international and national journals and has presented his research in 15 countries across various continents. His recent research interests include integrating data science and artificial intelligence into finance to enhance data-driven decision-making. With his interdisciplinary expertise, international exposure, and academic leadership, Dr. Prabakaran brings a unique blend of analytical rigor and global perspective to business education and research.
