Prof. Dr. Roshni James serves as the Director (Offg) and Professor in the areas of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at XIME, Bangalore. She holds a Doctorate in Management from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, and brings nearly three decades of rich academic experience to the field of management education.
Prior to joining XIME, she was associated with several institutions of repute affiliated with Bangalore University and Mangalore University. She is a UGC-NET qualified management professional with extensive experience in teaching, research, academic administration, and student development.
Prof. James has published various research papers in reputed Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals. Her research interests include Positive Psychology, Psychological Capital, Employee Engagement, and Women Entrepreneurship. Her doctoral research examined the impact of Psychological Capital on the success of women entrepreneurs.
Over the years, she has taught a wide range of courses, including Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Business Communication, Competency Management, and Personal Growth Lab. She has also participated in Faculty Development Programmes at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad), with a focus on Teaching Pedagogy and Research Methods.
As a resource person, Prof. James has conducted several Management Development Programmes and training interventions in communication and behavioural competencies for leading organizations, including NLC India and Tata Electronics.
She is actively involved in research supervision and is currently guiding four Ph.D. scholars, with one scholar expected to be awarded the doctoral degree shortly. Through her teaching, research, and mentoring, Prof. James continues to contribute significantly to management education and leadership development.
