Brief Profile
Dr. Ravi Veeraraghavan has a strong background in Finance and has over 25 years of industry experience working at leadership levels in large corporations like Ford Motor Company, TCS, TI India, etc. He has been exposed to both Manufacturing as well as Service industries working in diversified areas such as Finance, Strategy, M&A, Consulting, Customer Relationship, Service Management, Quality, Regulatory and Compliance. During his industry career, he has handled various large global customers in US, Europe and Asia including Japan. He was a key member in setting up the Global Center for Finance in India for Ford Motor Company, US in 1999, a first of its kind in India at that time. In 2007, he joined Tata Consultancy Service Limited as Vice President in Business Process Services and played a key role in setting up and growing Finance and Accounting Services for global corporations. In the last 5 years, he has extensively worked in Japan and contributed to the expansion of business of TCS in Japan.
As part of a contribution to Industry, he has also successfully led the development of the International ISO Standard- ISO/IEC 30105 (industry standard for IT-enabled services) at a global level working with 30+ countries and international experts across different companies. It is for the first time; India took a lead role in developing an International ISO standard for development activity in IT/ITES industry. Dr. Ravi representing India National Body, led the global team of experts as the “Convener” of this forum for more than 5 years, working with NASSCOM, Bureau of Indian Standards and ISO organization. This International Standard has just been published after undergoing several rounds of balloting with participating nations.
He is a qualified Accountant, Company Secretary and holds a Doctoral Degree in Commerce.
